"All the Songs I've Sung Before" is the title of a new CD album featuring the showband singer's best-known hits over the years with the Dixies.lt is only when one looks through the list of the 29 songs included on the CD that one realises just how successful Brendan is.
Such a collection is bound to bring the memories flooding back for those who were courtin' and corousin' throughout the swinging Sixties and early Seventies. Apart from its undoubted nostalgic appeal, "All the Songs I've Sung Before" also serves as an intriguing history of part of the most hectic era ever on the Irish entertainment scene in that it contains all original recordings.
Even though all of the songs are cover versions of other people's material, Brendan O'Brien made them very much his own during the Sixties. Those were the days before "Tops of the Pops" and Music Television made international hits instantly accessible to the people of
