Like most singer-songwriters, Charlie will sometimes tell how certain people or places have served to inspire his songs and storytelling. On this album Charlie personally introduces us to some of the most popular songs from his repertoire, also including 3 brand new songs, and in doing so highlights why this ‘Storyteller’ is so cherished by so many.

Comparisons to the likes of Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and James Taylor would be easy to make when talking about Charlie, but to do so would be to take something away from the uniqueness he creates in song. His talents, both as a songwriter and as a storyteller are much admired and it is difficult not to be impressed by how he blends verse, chorus and song into something more tangible and poetic. And all in his own style and fashion; Charlie is not a man to be bothered by modern trends – he just concentrates on observing the rigours of life and the characters it inhabits, which go to serve and inspire him so prodigiously.

The Storyteller is a personal insight into some of Charlie Landsborough's finest songs and as such is sure to be something all fans will greatly enjoy.
