Following on from the huge success of her nationally TV campaigned “best of” album ‘The Ultimate Collection’, which produced her first chart hit, the alluring Mary Duff is set to captivate the eyes of the public still further this spring with her superb brand new album ‘Time After Time’.
More widely known as Daniel O’Donnell’s prodigiously talented singing partner, Mary’s name has become increasingly prominent of late. After appearing in an American live concert broadcast, in front of a TV audience of over 60 million, the American version of ‘Time After Time’ went to No 2 in the Billboard World Music Charts. This success really does go to show how Mary is carving out an incredibly successful solo career for herself and with the new album, the success is surely set to continue.
‘Time After Time’ picks up nicely where last studio release, ‘Just A Country Girl’ left off, with Mary handpicking songs from a particular style of music that is important to her. Whereas last time the genre was country, this time around she has decided to explore the too often uncharted genre of nostalgia.
From the bone tingling Vera Lynn medley, through to the eye-watering classic ‘As Time Goes By’, you can’t help but think that Mary really is at her soothingly, introspective best throughout the classic collection of songs found on ‘Time After Time’.
Mary Duff has been confirmed as special guest at all of Daniel O’ Donnell’s worldwide tour dates in 2006. She will also be touring solo in the UK throughout June and July.
